Mukesh Arya
Mr. Mukesh Arya is the founder member of the Red Flag Oversight Consultancy Services P Ltd (Red Flag). Prior to the launching of this company, he was positioned as the Director to lead the Department of Internal Oversight Services, United Nations Agency in the Middle East. Mr. Arya, an Indian Audit & Accounts Service (IA&AS) officer took early retirement after 23 years to join the United Nations. Nationally, he held several important charges such as the Accountant General of Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, and Mizoram. He held the posts of Principal Director of Audit for Direct taxes, Principal Director of training, research and IT Audit in the office of the Comptroller & Auditor General of India (C&AG). He interfaced with the Parliamentary standing committees on reports prepared by him such as the report on Voluntary Disclosure of Income Scheme -VDIS (tax amnesty scheme).
He worked across India, seconded to the Republic of Seychelles, involved in the institutional building as the first Director of the C&AG’s “International Centre for Information Systems and Audit” (ICISA) at Noida and paved the way for the strategic plan for the IT Audit in India. Widely travelled across the world, his professional associations include hosting Conference of International Investigators from UN system and international financial institutions including World Bank. He actively participated in several conferences of auditors and investigators and in anti-corruption forum. His forte lies in all matters termed 'oversight'. Recently, he was engaged on investigating Commonwealth Games related instances of fraud and corruption under the Prime Minister appointed High Level Committee, appointed consultant by the Asian Development Bank for a reform project, and interfaced with a BPO company on preparation of IT audit Manual. He regularly lectures in several national and international conferences.
Mr. Arya launched, as the pioneering initiative, the whistle blower facility named, EthicsCall, under the banner of the parent company Red Flag oversight consultancy services private limited. The Red Flag USP lies in professionalism and promoting of ethics in Business through unique model that benefits everyone in terms of corporate governance and reduced instances of fraud and corruption. Ethics Call is a whistleblower facility at “arm’s length”. Several other services in addition to Ethics management are offered by the Red Flag that includes confidential internal investigations, risk management, training, corporate governance, evaluation, audit committee interface, reshaping the internal audit, etc.
